Tekila's Methuen
If you ever find yourself cruising through Methuen and your taste buds start craving something bold and flavorful, Tekila's Methuen might just be your new go-to. Nestled at 126 Merrimack Street, this spot has built a local buzz—not just for its Mexican-inspired eats, but for the chill, come-as-you-are vibe that makes it feel like a laid-back food fest every day.
Tekila’s keeps it casual but never boring. The moderate noise level means you can actually enjoy a convo while digging into your plate, whether you're catching up with friends or wrangling the kiddos. It’s also great for groups, so don’t be shy about rolling in with your whole crew.
Now, let’s talk food—because that’s really what brings people back again and again. If you’re into classics with a twist, the Fajita Burrito is a must-try: sizzling, stuffed, and seriously satisfying. The Chimichanga? Golden, crispy perfection. And for those craving comfort, the Beef Enchilada hits all the right notes with just enough spice to keep things interesting.
Feeling like something fresh? The Salmon Salad is surprisingly light and packed with flavor, balancing out the heavier dishes with a clean, refreshing bite. But if you’re in the mood to try something a little different, "Dame Amores" is that offbeat menu item that sounds like a love story and tastes like one too.
Tekila's Methuen delivers that sweet spot between casual dining and solid flavor, making it an easy pick whenever you’re not sure where to go—but want to eat well.

We were just driving by and decided to stop in for some lunch.... our little expectations were definitely met and then some! Really awesome cocktails, very friendly and helpful waitstaff and the food was to die for! I got the house chimichanga, my boyfriend had the fajita burrito. When we first looked at the menu we were a but skeptical on the prices, especially for lunch, but then the food came out. Biggest burrito I have ever seen and my chimi will last 2 more meals. We saved room for dessert and ordered the churros which came with 2 dipping sauces, whipped cream and a bunch of cherries. Would recommend to anyone in the area for delicious Mexican, we were told they also do live music Friday-Sunday + karaoke Thursdays.
Definitely a hidden gem but based on the videos on the wall it's not child friendly. Based on the live band that was extremely loud I didn't want to stay any longer. Good music though! Now the food, our server was a young and very informative. I wanted a drink and a fajita burrito. Both were satisfied but the margarita was somewhat disappointing the flavor was off. The burrito was a meal for two! Absolutely delicious!!! My wife had a steak special which was "cooked to order", she asked if it could be cooked medium rare and it came out well. She ate it anyway as the band was setting up. The place was empty and even with the music which should bring more people, it stayed empty. My wife enjoyed her drinks and we decided we will be back for a round two just earlier. Oh and get Southern Comfort! That will get me returning since I live down the street.
Usually gets really packed at night so if you're looking for a table I recommend you don't go as late. Also know that at night when it gets full, your server will typically disappear for a long while so don't expect to see them often. Overall they always have a great DJ, drinks always hit, the food is good and the vibes are great.
